1. NUTRACEUTICALS TO BOOST IMMUNITY

2.  The term “Nutraceutical” combines two words –
“Nutrient”= a nourishing food component) “Pharmaceutical” = a medical
drug.
 The name was coined in 1989 by Stephen DeFelice,

that provides medical or health benefits, including the prevention and
treatment of disease”
Nutraceuticals can include :
• Minerals, vitamins and other dietary supplements
• Herbal products: Garlic, Ginger, Ginseng, Liquorice, Onion, Senna, Turmeric
(Curcumin)
• Hippocrates who said “Let food be your medicine”.
