Installation Supervisor- Electrical–from October 2012 to till date:
Area under present responsibility:
 Full responsibility for GIS HV substation (from A to Z)
 Supervising installation and partially testing of GIS HV substation
 Time management - scheduling, planning, logistics (also local)
 Reporting - to Project Manager as well as to the Client, Site meetings, Progress meetings

 Feedback for improvements, Non-conformance reports, Coordination on site - client and

 Testing - Primary resistance, SF6 gas quality tests, Density monitor operating points test,
Gas compartment tightness (leak) test. All testing with end client
 Supervision, Quality control and monitoring Erection and Installation activity

 Preparation for onsite HV test & Cooperation and support to Commissioning engineer and

2.  Hand over GIS after all tests including HV test to end client - Final completion certificate/s
Experience from new installations, extensions, service, troubleshooting
 Supervising installation and maintenance work independently
 Taking responsibility for ensuring compliance with the installation requirements and
Instructions & ensuring that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed,
specifically abiding by the guidelines for work on live system components
 Responsible to red-mark drawings/documents with any changes or modification that
became necessary during the installation
 Advice the sub-suppliers installation superintendent in planning and coordination of the
work force necessary to comply with the schedule
 Cooperation with ABB Project Manager on establishing status of completed and non-
completed work
 Inspection of arriving material for completeness and possible damage and coordination of
material handling in cooperation with sub-suppliers Material Control within sub-suppliers
procedures
 Issue of non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment within ABB scope of
supply in cooperation with ABB Project Manager
 Supervise final installation tests and ABB installation completion documentation
 Supervise and coordinate the loop check activities.& Participation at site meetings as
requested by the ABB-CH Project Manager

Project: 1: Al-Mashaar project ELK03-GIS 6 diameters, 18 bays, 2HCB

Responsibilities:
 Planning of day to day works with respect to schedule.
 Bus C/C line marking, placing and alignment of circuit breakers.
 Installation of bus bars, bus ducts, CT, VT, LA, bushings and Cable end links.
 Installation of Steel support for GIS bus duct.
 Arrangement of man power and other special tools required for installation in time.
 SF-6 gas handling –Dilo operation, Evacuation, Gas filling and Recovery process.
 Density monitor testing, contact resistance measurements and Gas Analyzer test for all
compartments.
 Installation of GIS to Transformer connection and GIS to cable end link fixing work.
 Coordination for Commissioning and High voltage Test of GIS.

3. Project: 2: Al-Khaldiyah project ELK03-GIS 5 Diameters, 15 bays.

Responsibilities:
 Marking (X,Y) , placing and alignment of circuit breaker
 Installation of 380/220/132/33kv one and half breaker scheme-GIS bays for Fedeers, Bus
Section, Bus Couplers, including Bus Bars, Circuit Breakers, Bus Bar Insolators,Line
Insolators,Bus Bars earth Switches, Line Earth Switches, Gas Insulated Bus
Ducts,CT’s,VT's,including LCC panels for GIS with all accessories
 Perform GIS gas processing by the sequence of, vacuuming, nitrogen filling for Drying,and
Sf6 gas filling until normalization
 Perform site acceptance tests as in SF6 moisture & gas content, bus bars contact resistance,
density switches calibration
 To install HV testing bushing for HV testing of GIS, replace o rings and gaskets for GIS
verification and repair of 380/220/132KV GIS problems
 Perform cable glanding supervision, cable dressing, cable laying as per cable schedule, cable
termination, wiring modification for all GIS primary components up to LCC panels
Project: 3: Tabuk ELK03-GIS 11 Diameters consisting of 33 bays, 2HCB

 Activity preparation & follow :sub-assembly preparation / erection / adjustement / cable
pulling / wiring connection schedule (up to 60 persons)
