3. Background and History
No proof of how it came into
existence.
Ancient symbol.
Used over centuries.
Mythic shape makes work effortless.
4. 1.1 Basic definitions of Triangle
Two sides are of
equal length.
Also has two
congruent
angles.
Isosceles Triangle
All sides are of
equal length.
Also an
equiangular
polygon.
all its internal
angles are equal—
namely, 60°.
Equilateral Triangle
All sides have
different lengths.
Internal angles are
all different.
Scalene Triangle
3 Points
In Euclidean geometry any
three non-collinear points
determine a triangle and a
unique plane, that is, two-
dimensional Cartesian
space.
5. Basic Facts
Two-dimensional plane figures.
Addition of interior angles is 1800.
Exterior angle is equal to the sum of the two
interior angles that are not adjacent to it.
Sum of the three exterior angles of any
triangle is 360°.
6. 2.1 Basics Facts related
similarity and
congruency.
A
B
C
If every angle = angle of other Δ.
corresponding sides of similar Δ
have lengths that are in the
same proportion.
Similarity
Congruency
Two Δs having same size and
shape.
All pairs of corresponding
interior angles are equal.
Same length of sides.

7. Applications of Triangle
in Daily Life
• Sign boards.
• Bridges.
• Packed foods like Doritos.
• Staircases.
• Sails of Boat.
• Triangular Rubicks Puzzle.
• Pyramids.
• Bicycles.
8. Some other applications of
Triangle
Triangle shaped pastries.
Cheese being cut in triangular shape.
Blades of ceiling fan Triangular shaped.
Some of the buildings are being constructed in Triangle shape.
9. 3.1 Elaboration why triangulation is
used in daily life
The shapes help surveyors use triangulation to determine the distance of a specific point from two other
points of a known distance apart.
Triangulation may be used to measure distances around corners and when digging tunnels, and
carpenters use a right-angled triangle to take measurements.
Right-angled triangles are used alongside trigonometry to solve real-world distance problems, such as
the distance a ladder of a known length can go up against a wall, if the angle the ladder makes with the
ground is also known.
The concept also helps determine the flight path (the distance traveled from the original point and
bearing) of a plane that flies at a known speed for some hours, turns at a known angle at the same
speed and continues to fly for a known number of hours.
A sandwich may be shaped like a triangle. A staircase makes a right-angled triangle, with its length being
the hypotenuse. Also, a right-angled triangle forms when one stands at the top of tower, observes an
oncoming ship and attempts to calculate the distance between the ship and the bottom of the tower or
the angle of elevation from the top.
10. Conclusion
Triangle is formed by using three points. It can be equilateral,
isosceles, scalene depending on angular measurements.
Trignometry has helped in many circumstances it is also because
trignometry is originated from triangle.
Although triangle is essential in daily life, it comes into a major
role when making things effortless. This is not just a shape it is a
part of our life. When you will observe things carefully you will
notice that every thing having corners is actually forming a
triangle. Triangle name itself define its character, shape made by
using three angles.
Having triangle in life it made easier things.
