2. Learning packages(LPs)
The teacher in spite of having other works, has to
prepare learning materials/aids for his students and
help them to obtain the information they need for
independent learning.
A teacher can motivate students to use a technique of
learning by making use of a package designed by
him.this learning package would facilitate students to
learn their own.
3. LPs
A learning packages is a collection of all that is
necessary or a student in a document to achieve one or
more educational objectives independently.
It comprises of
1.specific objectives
2.a complete documentation required to achieve the
objective which may include references to any of the
following:
4. LPs
Information papers
Audio recordings
Vidio recordings
Slide sequencing
Images/drawings/paintings/photographs
Transfarencies
Laboratory work and field work(in complex package) and
so forth.
5. 3. A formative evaluation instrument to enable the
student to assess the extent of his access in
achieving the objective.
In some cases, several closely linked specific
objectives are related to the same learning
theme/activity.it is then advisable to avoid too
detailed breakdown, and to combine the different
packages for such learning theme into one super
package.
7. Criteria for priorities in selecting LPs
1.For most of the students,LPs should deal with a
concept of major importance.
2.They shoul be directed to the solution of a problem of
major importance.
3.They should not needlessly be superimposed on
another package dealing with the same
content/problem.
4.They should allow for the possibility of prompt update
of knowledge when required.
