2. I. General Information:
A division band for all Official Activities/Programs of DepEd Tabuk City Division
Date of Implementation: June 2021-June 2023

II. Background and Rationale:
DepEd Tabuk City and Kalinga Division are the only Division regionwide with no
official singing band that maybe tapped to entertain or serenade visitors or guests during any
official activities of the division. DepEd Baguio or DepEd Benguet for instance has its very
own singing band that is always be available to serenade, to welcome visitors or delegates in
any occasion, competition, gatherings such as sports competition, festival of talents,
ceremonies and press conferences. Over the years, DepEd Tabuk hires a band during an
activity. This project will require lesser or minimize the possibility of spending budget for the
said purpose. Instead of hiring a professional band at a certain cost, the department will just tap
the group to perform. It will also be an avenue for DepEd personnel to showcase their singing
talent and ability to play instrument since many of our personnel are musically inclined.
III. Objectives:
The establishment of this project has the following objectives:
1. To form a band ready to be tapped for entertainment in all activities or occasions of
the division.
2. To minimize the budget specifically that instead of hiring a professional band to
perform, the group will just be tapped. This will entail a cheaper spending of the allocated
budget.

3. 3. To provide an an avenue for hidden musical talent of our colleagues to be discovered
and showcased.

VI. Monitoring and Evaluation:
Project will be regularly monitored by the Monitoring and Evaluating Team of
DepEd Tabuk City Division. The monitoring will be conducted during actual performances
and renditions of the group in every activity connected only to department’s program. Feed
back and recommendation purposely to make the group more productive and pro active will be
done regularly.
