n this slide, you are going to learn about electrical TOOLS & PLANTS FOR GRID SUB-STATION. Like any other repair or improvement project around the GRID, electrical work requires tools. For most electrical projects, you'll use mostly basic hand tools you already own, such as a hammer, tape measure, digital multimeter,level, and screwdrivers. There are also some specialty electrical tools that come in handy from time to time, and these are readily available at most GRID central stores.

2. INTRODUCTION
Tools and plants means all appliances or things of
whatsoever nature required for the execution,
completion or maintenance of the services.

3. DIGITAL MULTI-METER
A digital multimeter is a test tool used to
measure two or more electrical values—
principally voltage (volts), current (amps) and
resistance (ohms).
The face of a multimeter typically includes
four components:
Display: Where measurement readouts can
be viewed.
Buttons: For selecting various functions; the
options vary by model.
Dial (or rotary switch): For selecting primary
measurement values (volts, amps, ohms).
Input jacks: Where test leads are inserted.

4. Portable Inflatable Emergency Lighting System
The system consists of
inbuilt genet of 720W LED
Bulb. First the user has to
switch on the genset and
then blowers to inflate the
cloth at a height of 4.5-5
meters from the ground
level. Further we switch on
the lamp which illuminates
large area.

5. DISTILLED WATER PLANT
A water distiller works
by boiling water into
water vapour,
condensing it and then
returning it to its liquid
state. It is collected in a
storage container.

6. SF6 Gas Filling M/C with Vacuum Pump
This practical testing and filling adapter kit includes DN8
self-sealing couplings to fit most breakers and all DILO
measuring devices. The SF6 filling kit ensures that no SF6 is
released into the atmosphere during coupling and
uncoupling. An SF6 regulator with a stainless steel internal
diaphragm is also included in the kit.
