1. Mini Bio:
As a Native South African Mac Laubscher started his career in sales as an
Outdoor Promotions Consultant on the beaches of Cape Town dragging
unsuspecting couples into venues for timeshare presentations. He quickly learnt
the art of street/beach canvassing over his summer holiday.
Having committed to do this as a bit of fun for a couple of weeks to gain a tan and
make some extra spending money this turned out to be the start of his direct
sales career quitting his job as General Manager for one of South Africa’s largest
Irish pub groups at the age of 23. He built up his own marketing company in 5
cities around South Africa supplying new customers to the timeshare and
security industry through various initiatives including Door to Door, telesales
and venues.
He was headhunted by ADT Fire & Security while running one of their top 5
dealerships in South Africa to become their National Sales trainer here in the UK
writing their training manual and designing their sales processes for their
Dealership and Agent program in 2002.
Mac has spent the past 10 years expanding on his sales experience to be able to
deliver more value to the organisations he has worked for. His experience
includes achieving top B2B sales person out of 400+ sales people for the
Caudwell Communications (Phones 4U Business) within his first 3 months of
being in the industry and consistently in the top 10 over 2 years.
Fun Fact, Mac spent 1 year out of conventional sales to take part in the
entertainment arena which included running some major entertainment events
such as British Music Week, Urban Music Awards and hosted the international
Football awards with Tony Woodcock ex Arsenal football player with his largest
sponsorship client secured being British Airways. He also appeared in a couple of
music videos as well played a zombie in “Zombie Office” a Cannes festival short
film receiving his acting accreditation on IMBD.
Mac has spent the past 5 years developing top performing direct sales teams
around the south of England for ADT, development of their internal sales
processes including project leading the design of their new iPad app for their
sales reps for use in the field as well as acting head of sales.
