Travel and tours are now competing for convenience. People nowadays take trips out of
convenience and not out of luxury. And so putting up a travel agency had set the company’s
mind primarily in giving impressive service to satisfy the market.
PleasEd travel and tours is the name given to the company by abbreviating pleasure and
educational trips. Two of the leading services the company focuses to render service to the
market. Along with travel documentations, such as passports and visa and tour packages design
by the airlines, other travel agency and its own.
The company is established at 014 A. Soriano Highway, Baranggay Poblacion IV, Tanza,
Cavite. The said location is chosen to seize an opportunity of providing travel services to an
untouched market. The company had discovered that the nearest travel agency that there is, is
situated in the next town, therefore, it’s inaccessible.
Before any operations should begin, licenses should be properly processed. PleasEd
travel and tours, will first register in DTI for its business name (as it is owned by a sole
proprietor), get then, business permits such as baranggay permit and mayor’s permit and lastly be
register in BIR for tax purposes.
The company values its people as it values its customers. Employees are the basic
foundation of the company’s services. Most of them are the ones who are face to face with the
company’s customers. And thus, they should be trimmed proper and charismatic.
The company would settle on three employees at the mean time for its initial year to cut
cost and to fully maximize its assets. Two of which are reservation officers. Considering the
great distance between markets, the company decided to have two reservation officers. One
would work in the office and the other at home. The one working at the office would handle
customers at the provincial area of Cavite, while the other one with NCR and some regions in
Marikina. This is design to minimize costs in phone calls in order to communicate with the
2. market and the suppliers. The remaining spot would be given to the manager, who will also be
the liaison officer for the mean time. This is again, to cut-down costs on the starting period. The
manager is in-charge also with the marketing and financial operations of the company until the
business picks up its course. Until then, every decision in each department is supervise by the
manager and is reported to the owner of the business. Reservation officers would be given a ten
thousand salary while the manager with a fifteen thousand monthly salary given on the 15th
and
end of the month.
Competitors are the catalyst of the business success. Recognizing it and planning how to
beat them would be one of the company’s outlets for motivation to strive harder. The company
would hand out surveys to its customer about its performance to be able to compensate to their
needs and satisfy it. PleasEd travel and tours would also create a SWOT Analysis to understand
the company in relation with its Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats, and to
prevent any particular problems known to develop. Therefore, there would be more time to focus
on entertaining the needs of its people, its employees, its market and its competitors. Another,
the company would offer an online and phone services to the public. The market could enquire
and had its services by sending an email, or text messages, and/or calling the office. This is to
design to bring comfort service to its customers.
