3. DEFINITION
Artificial Intelligence is the intelligence of
Machines or softwares as opposed to that of
Humans or animals. It is also the field of study
In computer science that develops and
Studies Intelligent machines.
4. EARLY HISTORY
● In 1950, English mathematician Alan Turing wrote a landmark paper
titled “Computing Machinery and Intelligence” that asked the question,
“Can machines think?”.
● Further work came out of a 1956 workshop at Dartmouth sponsored
by John McCarthy. In the proposal for that workshop, he coined the
phrase “ The study of Artificial Intelligence”.
5. CURRENT STATUS OF AI
● AI has taken many shapes and forms over the recent years
- Mobile phones
- Video Game Characters
- GPS/Voice Recognition
- Robotics
● Google has played a major role in the
● transcendence of AI.
6. CHALLENGES OF AI
● Lack of understanding
● Privacy concerns
● Lack of Data
● Unreliable results
● Technical difficulties
● High Expenses
7. FUTURE OF AI
● Beyond negotiation, Moore says CMU is betting
● several other AI areas are going to be
hugely important in the
● near future.
● Self driving cars.
● Improved healthcare and accurate treatments.
● Improved Banking systems etc.
8. CONCLUSION
Finally it can be said that, at the end of the day, the success of the field will
be measured by how it has empowered all people, not by how efficiently
machines devalue the very people that they are trying to help.
