On 1956, A workshop was organised at Dartmouth
sponsored by John McCarthy. In that workshop for
the first time in history he introduced the phase
“ Study Of Artificial Intelligence”. He also played
a significant role in the creation of Intelligent
Machines.Thus, John McCarthy
is known as the father of AI.

5. Why AI ?
Computers are fundamentally well suited to performing
mechanical computations using fixed programmed rules.
This allows artificial machines to perform simple monotonous
tasks effectively and reliably, which humans are ill-suited to.
Humans are driven by Emotions, Not AI
