3. What is A.I?
❖ The study of computer system that attempt to model and apply the
intelligence of the human mind.
❖ A branch of computer science dealing with the simulation of intelligent
behaviors in computers.
❖ The capability of a machine to imitate intelligent behaviors.

Alan Turing wrote a landmark
paper titled ”Computing
machinery and Intelligence” That

Finally we can say that the Artificial Intelligence(AI) is the
Intelligence of machines and the branch of computer
science that aims to create it. AI textbooks define the field
as ”The study and design of intelligent agents” where an
intelligent agent is a system that perceives its
environment and takes actions that maximize the
chances of its success. John McCarthy, Who coined the
term in 1955, defines it as “The science of engineering of
making intelligent machines” .
