Universal Design for Learning (UDL) creates
curriculum that reaches all students
Gifted students, students with disabilities, ELL
students, etc.
Goal is for every student to succeed
Flexibility in choices and educational pathways
are main component of UDL

I.E. Symbolic meanings and physical manipulatives in
mathematics
Multiple Means of Action and Expression
I.E. Options to create a poster, write a paper, etc. for
a project
Multiple Means of Engagement
I.E. Board work, worksheets, experiments, etc.
