Message from the Managing Director
Thank you for taking the time to get to know Omni HR Consulting. Your interest in what we do and
how we do it is appreciated.
Omni was founded in 2009 with a clear directive to provide business and people development solutions
by means of various training and consulting services. Our intent is simple; to remain a market leader
through developing our strengths and achievements without compromising the principles that our
business has been built on.
Omni’s underlying philosophy to continuous success is that we are driven by the relationships we
have with our customers, learners, suppliers and employees (“our people”). Our commitment to “our
people” knows few boundaries and you will find the Omni team to be trustworthy and reliable, and

WHATWE DO
Omni HR Consulting provides business and people development solutions through training and
consulting services.
Our primary focus is to provide our customers with innovative, relevant and industry-related
training and development solutions which will meet their skills development needs. Our credibility
is based on the fact that we operate within the framework of the Sector Education and Training
Authority (SETA) landscape.
Omni is a Registered and Accredited training provider and assessment centre with the following
quality assurance bodies:
• Services SETA
• Education Training and Development Practices (ETDP) SETA
• Local Government (LG) SETA
• Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET)
Another key focus for Omni relates to our consulting services, which is based on understanding
the key drivers of our customers business. We are able to craft a customised solution to address

To which quality assurance bodies is Omni registered and accredited?
This notice serves to inform all students registered with Omni HR Consulting (Pty) Ltd, in a
qualification, that in terms of the Continuous Education and Training Colleges Act, 2006 (Act No.
16 of 2006) (hereinafter referred to as“the Act”) and the Regulations for the Registration of Private
Further Education and Training Colleges, 2007 (herein referred to as “the regulations”) Omni HR
Consulting (Pty) Ltd made application for registration as a Private Continuous Education and
Training College.
Omni HR Consulting (Pty) Ltd has been granted accreditation as a training provider and assessment
centre with the following Quality Assurance Bodies:
• Education, Training and Development SETA: Accreditation Number: ETDP 10473
• Services SETA: Learning Programme Approval Number: 3857
• Local Government SETA: Learning Programme Approval number: LGRS-ETDP 510111215
• Department of Higher Education and Training: Private FET College 2012/FE07/038

What is a qualification?
Qualifications prescribe the outcomes and assessment criteria of national unit standards that
intend to provide qualifying learners with applied competence and a basis for further learning.
A qualification consists of structured classroom based learning components and workplace
practical learning components. Assessment of learning will take place after/during class room
based learning (formative) and during the workplace practical (summative) components.
• National Diploma (ND)
• National Certificate (NC)
• Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC)
What are learning- and skills programmes?
Learning programmes and skills programmes refer to predetermined units of learning (building
blocks) with an institutionally determined credit value and duration, and consists of modules of

learning. When completed it constitutes credits towards a qualification registered on the National
Qualifications Framework.
The unit of learning can be equal to an Exit Level Outcome(s); a stand-alone unit standard or a
group of unit standards. OMNI’s design preference is to select and group unit standards that
articulate to the same NQF qualification.
A skills programme differs from a learning programme in that skills programmes are occupationally
based.
What is a training workshop?
A learning solution that has a set of learning outcomes that is not aligned to SAQA Unit Standards;
therefore it will not constitute credits towards a learning programme or qualification on the
National Qualification Framework. The duration of the workshop and the learning methodology
applied can be adapted to meet the needs of the client. Credits are not awarded – also called a
non-credit bearing short course.
What is an RPL programme?
RPL (Recognition of prior learning) Programmes make it possible for you to either gain access to,
or earn credits towards, a learning programme, skills programme or full qualification based on
previous learning and experience gained through both formal and informal learning.
What is meant by“articulation options?
It refers to:
	 • 	 Credits earned through accredited learning solutions that are transferable to other 		
		 qualifications vertically or horizontally.
	 • 	 Being able to move between escalating NQF levels either in the same or related fields of
		 studies.
	 • 	 The learning programme or skills programme forms part of a larger qualification.
Can I transfer credits obtained from another accredited institute and gain exemption?
Yes. Omni has a CAT (Credit Accumulation and Transfer) Policy which allows credits to be
transferable, under the condition that the credits already obtained are aligned to the South African
Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Will I need an exemption at Grade 12 level, to register?
No. You will require a valid Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent certificate, to gain admission into
qualifications with Omni HR Consulting that require it.
What supporting documentations will Omni require for me to register?
Supporting documents that will be required to be submitted are:
	 •	 Certified copy of your Identity document (a copy of your marriage certificate, if your names 		
		 differ from that as stated in your identity document)
	 •	 Certified copy of your highest certificate/ qualification completed e.g. Grade 12 or 		
		 equivalent final results
	 •	 Motivation letter for RPL (if applicable)
	 •	 Up to date Curriculum Vitae
Does Omni HR Consulting assist students with disabilities?
Yes.The candidate’s disability has to be specified on the registration form. In consultation with the
candidate, the registrar/advisor will determine how best Omni can support the candidate for the
enrolled programme.
Will I be required to be working in the relevant industry and position?
Outcomes based qualifications require you to gain evidence in an appropriate real-life setting
(normally a workplace) when completing assignments. Please note that Omni HR Consulting does
not place students in the appropriate workplace environment; you will be required to make your
own arrangements to satisfy the work integrated learning requirements of the qualification.

Omni was founded in 2009 with a clear directive to provide business and people development solutions by means of various training and consulting services. Our intent is simple; to remain a market leader through developing our strengths and achievements without compromising the principles that our business has been built on. Our primary focus is to provide our customers with innovative, relevant and industry-related training and development solutions which will meet their skills development needs. Our credibility is based on the fact that we operate within the framework of the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) landscape. Omni is a Registered and Accredited training provider and assessment centre with the following quality assurance bodies: • Services SETA • Education Training and Development Practices (ETDP) SETA • Local Government (LG) SETA • Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Another key focus for Omni relates to our consulting services, which is based on understanding the key drivers of our customers business. We are able to craft a customised solution to address performance gaps based on our unique value proposition: • Make it convenient: a seamless and hassle-free approach and implementation of our services. • Make it comfortable: ensure we maintain our compliance and necessary statutory requirements. • Make is consistent: we become an extension of our customers’business. • Make it customised: ensure alignment with the strategic goals and priorities of our customers. What is a qualification? Qualifications prescribe the outcomes and assessment criteria of national unit standards that intend to provide qualifying learners with applied competence and a basis for further learning. A qualification consists of structured classroom based learning components and workplace practical learning components. Assessment of learning will take place after/during class room based learning (formative) and during the workplace practical (summative) components. • National Diploma (ND) • National Certificate (NC) • Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) What are learning- and skills programmes? Learning programmes and skills programmes refer to predetermined units of learning (building blocks) with an institutionally determined credit value and duration, and consists of modules of 17

The unit of learning can be equal to an Exit Level Outcome(s); a stand-alone unit standard or a group of unit standards. OMNI’s design preference is to select and group unit standards that articulate to the same NQF qualification. A skills programme differs from a learning programme in that skills programmes are occupationally based. What is a training workshop? A learning solution that has a set of learning outcomes that is not aligned to SAQA Unit Standards; therefore it will not constitute credits towards a learning programme or qualification on the National Qualification Framework. The duration of the workshop and the learning methodology applied can be adapted to meet the needs of the client. Credits are not awarded – also called a non-credit bearing short course. What is an RPL programme? RPL (Recognition of prior learning) Programmes make it possible for you to either gain access to, or earn credits towards, a learning programme, skills programme or full qualification based on previous learning and experience gained through both formal and informal learning. What is meant by“articulation options? It refers to: • Credits earned through accredited learning solutions that are transferable to other qualifications vertically or horizontally. • Being able to move between escalating NQF levels either in the same or related fields of studies. • The learning programme or skills programme forms part of a larger qualification. Can I transfer credits obtained from another accredited institute and gain exemption? Yes. Omni has a CAT (Credit Accumulation and Transfer) Policy which allows credits to be transferable, under the condition that the credits already obtained are aligned to the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and National Qualifications Framework (NQF). 18

No. You will require a valid Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent certificate, to gain admission into qualifications with Omni HR Consulting that require it. What supporting documentations will Omni require for me to register? Supporting documents that will be required to be submitted are: • Certified copy of your Identity document (a copy of your marriage certificate, if your names differ from that as stated in your identity document) • Certified copy of your highest certificate/ qualification completed e.g. Grade 12 or equivalent final results • Motivation letter for RPL (if applicable) • Up to date Curriculum Vitae Does Omni HR Consulting assist students with disabilities?
