Evaluation for the music magazine
1. Evaluation for the music
magazine.
In my final piece, I used aspects of
real magazines that I reviewed, for
example, the layouts, I set out
pictures and sell lines accordingly to
how I had seen them on other
magazines.
2. • The media I used in my magazine, represented
a more, “gothic” community, using the genre
of music in the magazine as rock. The drum
kit, and musician, represents part of a rock
band. Other aspects, such as the font, give off
a more gothic feeling as well.
3. A music company may use my product, because
it represents part of the younger gothic
generation that contains other musicians such
as the one displayed in the magazine. They
might use the magazine because there are not
many magazines that use my unique selling
point, which is the focus of teenage artists.
4. • The audience for my product
is teenagers and possibly
ages around 20 – 30 of the
gothic community. It achieves
that audience by the gothic
aspects of the magazine,
such as the monochrome
text, and boxes within it(as
seen in the picture to the
right.), along with a teenage
focus.
5. • I address my audience
with the bold gothic title(
seen in the picture.),
which states that it is a
magazine designed for
teenage musicians, which
might grab the interest of
those who are also
teenage musicians, or at
least interested in such.
6. • I have learnt different aspects about designing
layouts before producing the final product,
this was a skill I found useful to finishing, as it
gave me a choice of designs to work off of.
• I learnt multiple skills within the software I
used, defeating problems that I had
encountered during making the magazine.
7. • I have learnt that planning
ahead makes the end process
a lot smoother.
• I have learnt that difficulties
can be overcome, and the
end product will be worth
the work.
• To achieve the audience I am
aiming for, I must first
research the aspects of their
social groups, and what they
prefer in a magazine, I did
this via a questionnaire.
