Reason for Response:
In my opinion, I feel as though social
media can have its benefits and positive
aspects., as long as the child is using it
correctly. I also feel like this way of usage
will occur through monitoring and
education.

I feel like it is best to limit the amount of
screen time and online activity but I also
feel it is important for children to become
more accustomed to online work,
especially due to the rise of technology in
recent times

and social issues related to technology,
including issues of access and equity from
this project?
While completing this project, I noticed my
outlook on technology shifted pretty
tremendously. I focused more on the benefits of
technology and social media when completing
this project and I noticed how heavily these
positives are overlooked in recent ages. My
attention did get drawn heavily towards the fact
that many marginalized voices can end up being
uplifted but that the access to these resources is
scarce. I have learned that without access to
technology of some kind limits a vast number of
students especially in a time where technology is
increasing at a very fast rate.

2 of 3: Please reflect on your growth over the course
of the advocacy campaign with respect to your
goal informed work to be an Equity and Citizenship
advocate. What aspects of your contributions are
you most proud of? WHat set of skills to you really
think you excelled at? What are some areas of
growth?
Throughout the course of this project, my
general knowledge around the ways to create a
website was really explored. Along with this, my
knowledge surrounding the benefits of social
media along with the research that has been
done to prove the lack of correlation between
mental health and social media which stood out
heavily due to the prominent talk about the
negative effects. I am most proud of my website
overall due to the fact that it is a really good
visual indicator of how I want my classroom to
feel.

3 of 3: What are some ways that you can use
technology to increase equity, inclusion, and
uphold digital citizenship practices?
There are multiple ways that we can increase
equity and inclusion when using technology
and this includes having a range of different
types of resources and ways to complete
assignments that still give the information that
is needed. I feel like doing this will uphold
digital citizenship practices in general
because it creates a space that is inclusive
but still teaches the information that is
needed to advance.
