2. STAYING FIT
Every gymnast needs to stay fit. There is many
ways they can do this.
One is to eat healthy. You need to eat healthy food
to attain energy. During the day you will burn off
calories and this will give you enough energy.
You also need to get enough sleep. This will keep
you up and running through the day. In gymnastic
training you need to be alert and especially awake
or you could get hurt.
3. STRETCHING
Before doing gymnastics you always need stretch.
This helps loosen up your muscles.
If you don’t stretch before doing gymnastics there
could be different effects.
Like……. Cramps, sore muscles, and unstable
bones.
4. STRENGTH
Gymnastics isn't all about flexibility, but also
strength.
Gymnasts need to be able to hold themselves on
uneven bars, beam, floor and on the vault.
Upper body muscles are very important in
gymnastics. This goes along with being able to hold
yourself up.
5. FLEXIBILITY
In gymnastics, flexibility is a very important.
Many skills in gymnastics involve flexibility.
For example, doing a split jump, a backhandspring, and many more skills .
Flexibility is a skill that needs to built up. Many
people aren’t very flexible.
6. PRACTICE
You know the saying practice makes perfect. Well it
is not true.
When gymnasts practice they only get better not
perfect.
Gymnasts fall all the time, but they get up and try
again.
When gymnasts compete they have to have certain
skills and without practice they wont be able to
reach the expectations.
