2. My Song Features a Solo Female – Should I Add a Male Co-star?
How this will affect my
creative decisions:
Pretty obvious, but my results
show that the audience want
me to focus on the female
performer.
Therefore, I’ll solely focus on
the female, using close ups, and
tracking shots.
What Type of Music Video is Your Favourite to Watch?
How this will affect my creative
decisions:
Results show audience crave strange. I
will have lots of whacky and abstract
visuals within my piece, however I will
make sure it is relevant and has
meaning.
My results show a dislike in a particular
narrative/storyline, therefore I will
storyboard for a performance-based
video.
3. How this will affect my creative decisions:
It’s clear from my research that my audience like performance.
Abstract visuals that are relevant to lyrics. They like theme, like order,
things they wouldn’t usually see in reality.
I will take this into account when addressing my mise en scene. I will
tie red balloons and white roses to the trees and rocks.
To You, What’s Most Entertaining in a Music Video?
4. Favourite Music Video? Why?
How this will affect my creative decisions:
From these answers, my audience like music videos that act
as an escapism from reality. I will therefore try to emulate
this anti-realism, and construct a ‘3 minute period where my
audience escape from reality’. I will do this by
odd/misplaced props in scenes, aswell as break the rule of
continuity.
