Personal Statement
I am currently looking to move away from my Administrator role within Estate
Agency by securing a fulltime role within a more creative industry. I would like
to develop the skills which I already have as well as learn new skills and
understand how a company and industry such as yours work, hopefully giving
me the starting block of a career. I have started looking into roles that will help
me engage business and sales skills as well as fulfil my desire to work within a
creative industry. I feel that joining a company such as yours will allow me to
broaden and strengthen my skillset and learn new techniques of working in a
business led environment. I will work endlessly hard to exceed what is expected
of me and to help your company meet every target with a professional and
focused manor.
I am a punctual, hardworking and focused individual who will always give my all
to complete tasks given to me. I work best in fast paced working environments,
and actually feel I work best under pressure, thriving on prioritising and
deadlines. I am very comfortable using Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Indesign,
Illustrator and sites such as WordPress and Blogger. I thoroughly enjoy creating
digital content and many different aspects of design.
Employment History
Bridgfords Lettings; Full-Time Lettings Administrator August 2014 - Present
2. I currently work for Countrywide Residential Lettings in their Newcastle Based
branch, Bridgfords. My role in the branch is Lettings Administrator. I have the
responsibility of completing all paperwork regarding a let from beginning to
end, including having contracts drawn up and arranging appointments with
landlords and new tenants. I have also been working as the Pipeline Ambassador
for the last couple of months which I was selected for by the area manager. This
role consists of myself holding weekly conference calls with other branches and
speaking with other Pipeline Ambassadors across the country. I thoroughly enjoy
my work with Bridgfords but I have always longed to work within a more
creative based role.
Cellinis; Part-Time Service Person 2013-July 2014
Part-time (though often flexible working full time hours) service person at this
new and growing family run restaurant. I have the responsibility of cashing up
regularly, taking reservations and managing service times but always with a
primary focus on intense customer service for their new and developing client
base.
Volunteer; Newcastle Fashion Week 2014.
Helping style models before the Fashion shows as well as working in the pop up
shop for Newcastle College situated in Eldon Gardens with a focus on deadline
driven shows and customer service. I also helped design marketing material for
Fashion week within different teams which was a very exciting project for me.
The Copthorne Hotel; Full-Time Service person, Bar and restaurant 2011-
2013
I worked long and flexible hours in catering service where constant outstanding
customer service skills were expected of me. The hotel was very fast paced and
dynamic so often my role was adapted to include management on the front
desk, answering phones, dealing with customer queries and complaints. I thrived
on the busy atmosphere of the company and the new challenges which could
arise each day.
KYEO.TV; 2 month Work Experience, 2011.
An online magazine based in the North East providing art and music news. My
role included secretarial responsibilities, managing diaries and e-mails as well as
assisting on the organisation of photo-shoots, interviews and editorial meetings.
3. Hallet Retail; Full time Sales Assistant 2010-2011
I worked as a sales assistant with the obvious focus on customer service. Though
since I was the sole staff member for the concession at any given time, my roles
also included a great deal of visual merchandising, stock orders and
management, logging of sales and cashing up at the end of the shift. I produced
regular reports to monitor our sales progress which were sent to the head office
for processing each week.
Prior to leaving school in 2009 I also worked part time at Office Shoes and
Dainty Toys, both retail outlets in which I worked weekends, with focuses on
customer service and stock management.
Education; Newcastle College – Diploma
During my time studying at Newcastle college I learned many skills which I think
will help me in the role which I am applying. From creating digital content for
different websites and blogs, designing and printing look books and learning
how the marketing and PR departments work within large corporations.
This experience developed my desire to work within the creative industries and I
hope I have the skills you are looking for to fill this role. In the arears I am
lacking, I can assure you I make up for with determination and passion.
