While WOTC vendors are experts at processing applications for the WOTC Program, there are certain
functions that WOTC vendors cannot perform as well as you that will increase your WOTC Program savings.
1. Ensure compliance
Sure, your vendor probably sends the traditional reports regarding IRS Form 8850 completion and receipts,
but outside vendors are limited in the authority they have to ensure your employees complete the WOTC
Program screening process. Additionally, most likely, you are already doing a lot of the leg work on behalf
of your vendor to ensure the WOTC Program screening process is completed by your employees and backup
documentation is obtained.
In-house processing adds little to the work already being performed by your staff involved with the WOTC
Program and provides an extra level of importance to the process, which ensures the process is completed,
increasing the tax credit savings for your company.
2. Control Reporting
With the stale reporting provided by so many WOTC vendors, companies are limited in their ability to make
use of WOTC Program reports in effective and meaningful ways. Often WOTC vendor reports are standard
across all clients with little flexibility in when and how the information is presented and what is presented
within the reports.
Bringing WOTC in-house, whether fully or through a hybrid option, ensures that you have greater access to
reports when you need them and how you need them. With WMS’s always on reporting, the reports you
generate fit exactly what you need to know. No more wondering what the numbers mean or wishing you
could have the information presented in a different way. By generating reports in a format that fits your
needs, you can better target the areas of the WOTC Program that need support
3. Know Your Costs
Companies which provide WOTC Program services as part of a larger portfolio of services, often referred to
as “bundling”, can hide the true cost of such services. Unfortunately for companies using these bundled
services, they can end up paying a lot more for their WOTC Program service than they thought as a result of
both reduced servicing as tax credits are not the vendor’s primary service and or unseen transaction costs.
You may also be paying more for your WOTC Program administration than you realize. In order to truly
evaluate your WOTC Program costs, you need to know the transaction fees for your WOTC Program, about
which many WOTC vendors are either unaware or unwilling to share with their clients.
Top Five Ways to Increase WOTC Savings
About WMS 1.800.221.0832
info@waltonmgt.com
For over three decades, WMS has secured millions of dollars in tax credit and incentives (TCI) savings for its clients. Comprised of tax
specialists with an average tenure of 16 years, WMS works as an extension of its client’s internal departments to identify, process, and
execute, administer and manage their full TCI potential. From Fortune 50 to mid-size businesses and small proprietors, WMS has assisted
companies in all industry sectors to generate tax savings through business activities they perform every day: hiring new employees,
expanding or downsizing facility locations, making capital investments, and training new and incumbent workers.

4. Greater Control of WOTC Program Rewards
Why spend precious tax credit savings on a WOTC vendor when you can use those savings to incentivize
your own staff to generate greater savings and efficiencies. Creative companies use fun competitions
ranking locations with the greatest compliance, bonuses based on certification rates, and passing tax credit
savings through to divisions or locations.
Greater control of the WOTC Program rewards also means keeping your savings in-house. With a WOTC
Program full or hybrid subscription service, companies can use their tax credit savings to grow their
company rather than their vendor’s.
5. Increase Efficiencies in WOTC Program Administration Means Increased Savings
Once a tax credit program that required printing and physically signing paper, photocopying, and mailing,
the WOTC Program has evolved into a software service. Now companies can process the WOTC Program
themselves for half the cost of using an outside vendor. However, nothing requires companies to take
advantage of the cost savings from the increased efficiencies that come from the automation of the WOTC
Program. In fact, most companies have not taken advantage of the cost savings from the evolution of the
WOTC Program due to the simple fact that they do not yet have the technological capability to keep pace
with this evolutionary change in the WOTC Program.
WMS has the only subscription service available for the WOTC Program, which allows for both fully
bringing the WOTC Program in-house and a hybrid version, and with active reporting. With real time
information available regarding performance of individual locations, district/regions, automated screening
and filing, and integrated state agency databases eliminating the need for backup documentation, the
WOTC Program can be administered with minimal to no labor.

proprietors, WMS has assisted companies in all industry sectors to generate tax savings through business activities they perform every day:
