For people who love the outdoors and enjoy camping, many sleeping bags are too expensive and heavy. Other people
who are more avid campers or backpackers run into the problem of having to pack more things and running out of room
in their backpack because of the space taken up by packing a sleeping bag, pad, and liner separately. Back packers also
need a sleeping bag with a high temperature index, but unfortunately many of the high-quality bags with a good
temperature index are upwards $400-$500. there is also a bedding crisis and lack of proper sleeping equipment that
affect the refugees, the homeless, and those who are affected by natural disasters which we'd like to address.
3. Solution
To create a more lightweight product, SomnaSuo sleeping bags have a mylar lining sewn into the bag. This material is
thin and reflects your body heat in and the cold outside air out and away from you which also increases the temperature
index. Our sleeping bags also have a built-in pad, removing the problem of having to pack a big bulky pad on top of
everything else you need. The pad is inflatable which makes it even smaller and easier to condense. It works anywhere
and will keep you sleeping comfortably all night long. Our goal as SomnaSuo is to make an affordable, high quality
sleeping bag available for everyone. Because of this, SomnaSuo is donating one bag per 10 sold to the Red Cross and
other charities who will redistribute our sleeping bags all around the world to those who need it. On top of that, our bags
cost 42% less than the average price of a quality sleeping pad and bag combined, making them more affordable and
available to a wider audience.
4. Market
SomnaSuo sleeping bags are extraordinary due to our design and mission. No other sleeping bag company has our
unique mission to send aid and provide reief for the sleeping equipment and beding crisis and refugee camps. Nor do
they have our unique design to provide peak comfort while cutting down on space and weight by combining the three
basic necessities for camping. We are the only sleeping bag company who has combined the sleeping bag with the pad
and lining. Our target consumers are adults ages 20-40 who enjoy going on adventures and those who hike, camp,
backpack, etc., especially those who live near mountains and national parks.
