Estimating Manager for this large Nationwide Construction Company. Prepared and submitted
over 500 bids per year including both rollouts and standalone projects. Hired, trained and
managed 2 Junior Estimators. Managed the Client Support Department during staff shortage
which included subcontractor hiring and management, material ordering, daily reports and punch
and closeout of projects. Attended pre bid walks and site walks as needed.
Fortier Contracting (Point Pleasant, New Jersey) April 2006 – June 2007
Project Manager for mid-sized Construction firm specializing in new homes, renovations and
additions. Responsibilities included estimating, completing and sending bids for projects,
ordering material, expense and revenue tracking, subcontractor contracts, Building Department
permits and all other aspects of the business.
Somerfield Builders (Portsmouth, Rhode Island) March 2004 – March 2006
Project Manager for the Forest View Condominium Project, a 63 Unit Development in Norwich,
Connecticut.
 Solicited and reviewed all bids for materials and services needed to complete the job.
Developed and maintained accurate budgets and cost reports.
 Worked closely with the Construction Manager (scheduling and planning), the Bank
(Percentage of Completion Reports, Bank Inspector), the Realtor (walk-throughs and
punch lists), the tenants (after closing problem solving) and the Norwich Building
Inspector.
 Completed daily field reports and input them into Master Builder, the company’s
construction management and accounting database.
EBSCO Publishing Services (Manasquan, New Jersey) January 2002 – March 2004
Sales Manager for this Magazine Subscription Company. Sold magazine subscriptions to bank
customers through inserts in bank statements. Responsibilities included sales calls, customer
service, vendor interface, sales tracking and problem solving.
Proteam.com (Cranbury, New Jersey) May 2000 – September 2001
Managed the personalization/customization department at this Internet/mail order Sporting
Goods Company. Responsibilities included vendor interface, customer correspondence, customer
service (both phone and Internet) and inventory controls.
