1. Contingency Plan
Despite having a well thought-out production schedule, there also needs to be a
contingency plan in case anything goes wrong or is unavailable in regards to the
location, props, characters, mise-en-scene etc.
Location
We have chosen to set our music video in four different locations which consists
of the park, shopping centre, restaurant and house (bedroom). Out of all these
locations, the restaurant will probably require a back-up plan because some
restaurants may not allow us to film in their business. As a result, were going to
have to find a few locations, some of which are really quiet and may not have a
lot of customers. As for the other locations, they will be available without any
problem.
Characters
We have three different characters within our music video which consists of the
main boy/rapper, main girl, the older guy and the general public. Each of our
characters are reliable and we have based our filming time around their
availability. If a character is not present on the day due to an illness or any over
issue then we will have to film another section of our video in order not to waste
any valuable time.
Props
We have a range of props that can be bought from a wide range of shops (within
our local area) whilst keeping within our budget. Therefore, if there is any
damage to any props they can be easily replaced. We are also going to use some
of our own stuff as props to save money.
Lighting
In regards to lighting, we won’t face any problems because there will be enough
electricity within our chosen locations. As for natural lighting (outside) we are
going to have to ensure we film before 4pm because it begins to get dark at 5pm.
Costume
The clothing used will be either borrowed or belong to the characters/cast in the
music video. However, if there are some items that we cannot get hold of such as
2. designer clothing, we are going to have to work with what we have due to the
expensive costs.
