SPELLING RULES > ED
RULE #1
One – syllable verbs
If the verbs ends in one vowel and one consonat, double the consonat and add
“ED”
EXAMPLES :
• Stop --- stopped
• Drop --- dropped
• Grab --- grabbed
• Beg --- begged

One – syllable verbs
If the verb ends in two consonants, don´t doublé the consonat.
EXAMPLE
• Help --- Helped
• Work --- Worked
• Harm --- Harmed

If a verb ends in “e” just add “d”
EXAMPLE
