3. Symptoms
COVID-19 symptoms include:
● Cough
● Fever
● Shortness of breath
● Muscle aches
● Sore throat
● Unexplained loss of taste or smell
● Diarrhea
● Headache
In rare cases, COVID-19 can lead to severe respiratory problems, kidney failure or death.
If you have a fever or any kind of respiratory difficulty such as coughing or shortness of breath, call your doctor or a
health care provider and explain your symptoms over the phone before going to the doctor’s office, urgent care facility or
emergency room.
4. Transmission
People can catch COVID-19 from others who have the virus. The disease can spread from person to person through
small droplets from the nose or mouth which are spread when a person with COVID-19 coughs or exhales. These
droplets land on objects and surfaces around the person. Other people then catch COVID-19 by touching these objects or
surfaces, then touching their eyes, nose or mouth. People can also catch COVID-19 if they breathe in droplets from a
person with COVID-19 who coughs out or exhales droplets. This is why it is important to stay more than 1 meter (3 feet)
away from a person who is sick.
Studies to date suggest that the virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through contact with respiratory
droplets rather than through the air.
The risk of catching COVID-19 from someone with no symptoms at all is very low.
The risk of catching COVID-19 from the feces of an infected person appears to be low

9. 1. Learn the right way to wash your hands!!!
By touching many objects such as door knobs and train straps, it is possible that
the virus is attached to your hands. Wash your hands every time you go home,
before cooking or after cooking and before meals.

10. 2. Health Care!!
To strengthen your immune system, you are supposed to
get enough sleep and eat a balanced meal.
Enough sleep = roughly 9 hours sleep
(Can vary by age)
11. 3. Maintain a suitable temperature!!
Dry air reduces the defense systems of throat mucous membranes. In a room
that is easy to dry, use a humidifier to maintain an appropriate humidity between
50〜60%.
12. 4. Take a distance!!!
When you are walking in a crowd, take a distance of 2
meters from people around you. However staying home is
the best solution to prevent coronavirus.
13. 5. Correct Mask Uses
1. Before putting on a mask, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and
water.
2. Cover mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your
face and the mask.
3. Avoid touching the mask while using it.
4. To remove the mask: remove it from behind your ears and do not touch the front of
mask)
5. Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp and do not reuse single-use
masks as the efficiency of the mask drops significantly.
*Masks are effective only when used in combination with frequent hand-washing
with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water*
