Main Activity
The students will
work on the cover of
their blank books.
They can use
collage and drawing
to create a cover.
Early finishers can
start coloring the
pages. The teacher
will read from and
example book show
students pictures to
inspire them.
Students may use
their phones to find
images they would
like to work from for
the book.
The students will practice
color mixing and control
of paint and the
paintbrush by creating
new paintings. Students
who finish early can start
a new painting or draw.
The students will
continue to work on
their art books. The
teacher will show the
students example comic
books or graphic novels
for inspiration.
The teacher will show
the students a book of
botanical illustrations.
The students will create
an outline with pencil or
oil pastel and then use
the paint to color in the
shapes they have
defined.
