caretaker of many. She has had 20+ years of experience in
specialized medicinal practice, but when it comes to
holistic body care, her knowledge is limited and
outdated.

considered obese, developed T2 diabetes (NIDDM), and
has had to undergo surgery for a hernia, which she is still
recovering from even 10 years later.

Even though she cares for others, it is clear she has a
difficult time caring for herself. As a result she is now

When it comes to attempting to eat “healthy”, she opts for
Western foods over foods from her Filipino culture,
regardless of the actual nutritional benefits.
