  2. 2. Opto-Mechanical EngineerLocation: Washington D.C.Job Summary:Exciting opportunity for an Opto-Mechanical Engineer. The OME will be responsible fordesigning, developing, and implementing a variety of simple to complex systems supportingadvancement of research. This activity requires a thorough knowledge of optical and mechanicalengineering concepts and application. The OME will work collaboratively with researchcustomers and department colleagues. The OME will work on projects from inception at theconcept development stage to completion at the product delivery stage, playing a primary role todevelop designs and products to meet customer specifications.Principal Responsibilities:Designs, develops, assembles, integrates, tests, and optimizes simple to complex opto-mechanical systems for neurobiological research.
