•I first sketched out the possible layouts of the magazine.
•Next I created a shape map in InDesign.
•I then had to take a photo of myself using my iPhone which
doesn’t have the best resolution or lighting, but it would have to do.
•I then chose a picture I liked best and used Photoshop to edit it and make a little
more professional.
•I then opened InDesign and adjusted my previous shape map to go with the image.
•I wrote down my articles and title.
•I then inserted my image to my InDesign shape map and adjusted the title and
articles according to how they look.

Objective
Create a photodesign project with a color scheme from the image.
Process
The steps that I followed in the process were:
•I first decided on what color scheme I wanted to use and the message of the proj-
ect. I knew I wanted to use pink somehow and convey a spiritual message of love.
I then saw my pink sneakers and thats when I came up with my message “Walk the
Walk”
•What I did to the photo was I changed the lighting. Increased the vibrances.
Blurred out the edges. Balanced the levels. Increased the selected colors and sharp-
ened the look of the shoes and grass. I did all of this in photoshop.
•After I changed the look of the photo I created a 9×12 document so I could trim of
the edges and pulled the photo on top of it.
•I then started to create my designs and test out different font types until I came up
with one I was satisfied with.

Objective
Design a spiritual poster montage using the blend of images and type.
Process
We need to create a spiritual message and the best message I could think of was
“God is Love” from 1 John. With that in mind I wanted to get a beautiful outdoors
picture that included the ocean and something heart shaped. Here is the process
that I followed:
•I researched images online at unsplash.com. I found two images of a beautiful
sunset next on the ocean next to some cliffs. I then found and image of two peoples
hands shaped like a heart.
•I then added those two pictures into photoshop and blended them together using
brushes and blending tools.
•I then added the quote “God is Love” in 1 John to complete the image.

Sister Bianca Rodriquez
Programs Used
Adobe Illustrator and prezi.com
Objective
Create an instructional presentation using the Prezi software to demonstrate it’s
features and capabilities.
Process
I’ve never heard of Prezi before and having to create my own art was a little intimi-
dating but once I got the idea it was pretty simple. The process of creating my Prezi
presentation went as followed:
•When I was told I was supposed to give a presentation using Prezi I started sketch-
ing out ideas. I wanted to go with a women who is in touch with her inner self and
sketched out a women surrounded my her aura. The idea I came up with for my
presentation is “A Look Inside the Introvert.”
•I started making my women using shapes in InDesign but img_1873switched over
to Illustrator because it provided better tools to make my woman. I made my woman
blue because blue represents introverts more and orange represents extroverts
•I then inserted my images inside of Prezi by following the how to tutorial given.
I added the text of the information about introverts inside the Prezi presentation.
Unfortunately it didn’t match my title so I chose another font that looks similar.

across documents.
Process
•I first sketched out my logo ideas and then I created them in Adobe Illustrator
•After I created my logo ideas I submitted a sample of them to Facebook to see
what other people liked. I unfortunately only got two critiques from my classmates
but my five other friends liked my second design.
•I wanted a illustrated logo but I was having a hard time coming up with a illustrated
idea. I first came up with a paintbrush logo but later I thought of designing one of
my characters from my comic. So I created my doggie logo and I decided to use that
one over the favor of everyone else because that was the one I liked best.
•After choosing my logo I created my letterhead and business card.

Description
I created a brochure for a fictional business called “Beauty and the Corset” that
gives information about corsets.
Date

Course
COMM 130: 16
Instructor
Sister Bianca Rodriquez
Programs Used
Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.
Objective
Design a brochure for a company.
Process
After submitting my project I wasn’t thrilled with the way it turned out so I com-
pletely redid it.
•I kept my original concept but I wanted to make more symmetrical and clean.
•Instead of having just one big corset I decided to have a landscape layout that folds three ways.
•The front is just my original layout design.
•The back was created to look like the back of the corset and it took about 45 minuets to create.
•The inside looks like the inside of a corset when it is open and that took me 45 minuets to create as
well.
•I then added these pictures in a new brochure layout design and that took me about 30 minuets to
get everything added and arranged.
•I used my same pictures and text as the original but to add and arrange them in the new design took
about 30 minuets as well.
•After editing and making sure everything matched up the whole took me about 2 hrs and 30 min to
get done.
