trafficked
population was
underage

3. The International Labour
Organization estimated,
in 2012, that children
represented 26% of the
20.9 million victims
worldwide. In fact, many
child victims of human
trafficking are students
in the American School
System.

4. Increasing
Public
Awareness
about the risks
and signs of
human
trafficking is an
important piece
of any anti-
trafficking
prevention
strategy.

5. In France, the
Ministry of Education
provides anti-
trafficking awareness
courses to students
seeking a degree in
hospitality and
tourism.

6. Specialized lessons
alert students to the
indicators of child
sex tourism and
their professional
responsibility to
take action when
they recognize this
crime.

7. Education and Knowledge
of Trafficking in Persons
Among All Members of
Society are Key to Beating
Human Traffickers.

9. My Solution to Raise
Awareness About Human
Trafficking Among the Youth.

10. As a Student – Take
action on our campus by
establishing or joining
clubs to raise awareness
about Human Trafficking
– and Initiate action
throughout our local
community.

11. I can also consider
doing a research
paper on topic
concerning human
trafficking to help
and others
understand the
gravity of this issue in
the community.
