Kevin Kaufman Ortiz presented an introduction to pivot tables. The presentation covered basic data manipulation tools in Excel like filters and shortcuts. It then showed how to create a pivot table by selecting data and using the pivot table window and sidebar. Various topics in the pivot table like analyze and design tools and slicers were demonstrated. More advanced functions like pivot charts and best practices for using pivot tables were discussed. The presentation used sample data sets to demonstrate these pivot table functions.

It is important you are sure of how you want to organize yourself within Excel.
Open LoanApplication.csv
Selecting Data for your table:
You can either highlight the data first, or create the table first. Preferably, I select the data
using Ctrl+Shift+Arrows and drag all the way down.
Then go to Insert>Pivot Table

Step 1
Select the source of your data.
- Local
- From a Database
Step 2
Choose where you want to place the table
- On the same sheet
- On a new table

Choose whether you want to analyze

Rows & Columns
Adds Rows and Columns of the different types of data to your pivot

Values
Calculates values based on the rows and columns chosen
Filters
High level filter that permits the observation of data over the selected
dependent value of data
- Each column of the original data set is a variable for the pivot table

From personal experience:
- Select entire Columns to easily introduce new data
- Place data on different sheets and Pivot tables in one sheet with space between them
- Use Access, SQL and other databases to store large quantities of data so Excel does not lock
