To whom it may concern,
I am writing on behalf of Kelly Rolfe, who is applying for a position with your company. Let me
assure you that you would be hard-pressed to find a better candidate for employment.
In the few years I’ve known Kelly, she has truly become a part of our family. She began
watching our children over a year ago while our youngest was still in preschool. She has been a
staple at our house ever since, working Monday- Friday only missing one day of scheduled work
due to illness, which I insisted on her staying home. She is currently responsible for caring for
Maggie (10), Charlie (9), and Katie (5).
Of Kellys strengths—and there are many—her greatest is her flexibility. She is willing and
wanting to help our family in anyway she can. She devotes her full attention to each child and
gives each what he or she individually needs. But don’t mistake her careful attentiveness as an
inability to juggle tasks; I’ don’t know how she does what she does for our children. They have
many sports and different schedules and she manages to keep it all on track and get everything
done with a smile on her face and the children loving her.
While I could speak volumes about kelly from both a personal and professional level, I’ll let my
kids do the talking instead. At their requests, she has been invited to their birthday parties every
year without fail. The kids talk about her as they would a treasured family member, and that’s
precisely what she is.
I understand that the demands of a nanny are different than those of your company, but I am
confident that Kelly is more than ready for the challenge. She conducts herself professionally,
respects confidentiality, and is able to adapt to any situation we've thrown her way.
We are so saddened to be losing Kelly to pursue her dream of helping a broader spectrum of
people after she obtained her degree. She is irreplaceable! I sincerely hope that you are quick
to give her a position, as her warmth, attentive care, and inviting personality will be sure to
endear her to you and your clients. Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email if
you’d like any additional information; I’d be happy to share!
Sincerely,
Nelson Evenrud
