4. Adaptations to
Smartboard
Lesson
1. Add auditory elements to the presentation - program the
presentation to read the question out loud so students with
visual impairments can still participate.
2. Use one consistent font in one size throughout the entire
presentation.
3. Many of the “fill in the blank” questions were not clear
enough to lead to one specific answer. These questions
should be rewritten as multiple choice questions.

5. Adaptations to
Smartboard
Lesson
4. To see the answer to each question, you have to physically
drag the box covering it away. Instead, students should be able
to tap the screen once, and the box should disappear with an
animation. For students who are immobile and cannot physically
move to the board to tap it, they should be able to clap to signal
the program to reveal the answer.
5. Include more scenario-based questions that involve critical
thinking and application-based situations rather than strictly
word-for-word definitions

6. How would I
use the
resources I
found?
Smartboard Lesson: could
be used as a review or
practice tool for students to go
over key definitions and
concepts in an Intro to
Marketing course. A professor
could use it to facilitate a
review session before an
exam, or to review key terms
after teaching a chapter

7. Lesson Plan 1: The Marketing Mix
This lesson plan could be used to introduce the
concept of the Marketing Mix at the beginning of a unit
in class. Since the lesson is extremely interactive and
enables students to interact with real products and
brands they are familiar with, it is extremely
memorable and will help students to understand the 4
P’s of Marketing. This lesson plan supports universal
design because it incorporates lots of different senses
in the lesson: touch, sight, and sound .

8. Lesson Plan 2: Intro to Business Marketing
The projects listed at the bottom of this lesson
plan could be used to help students apply their
knowledge of the 4 P’s/Marketing Mix after they
were taught the information in Lesson Plan 1.
Asking students to apply this information to a
brand they are familiar with and loyal to will help
them to retain the information. This supports
universal design because it encourages
application-based learning that is led by the
students rather than the professor.
