Objective:
I am seeking for work experience in the Advertising/ Public Relations field where I can use my experience, education,
skills and interests to reach personal goals and the goals of the company I am working with.
Experience:
Job as Secretary at St. Patrick’s Church in Huntington Village, NY September 2009- March 2012
Between answering the phone, scheduling appointments, filing papers, and addressing concerns of others, I developed
excellent communication skills, writing and editing skills, and the ability to speak with a variety of different customers. I
also learned the value of good listening and note taking skills as well as how to handle possible crisis situations.
Job as Hosta Specialist at Fox Hollow Farm in Dix Hills, NY Summer 2013
I specialized in picking, cleaning, and bunching hostas into bouquets to be shipped and sold in New York City for
warehouse distribution. By doing so, I learned the importance of group communication, teamwork, focus and deadlines.
Volunteered in Global Leadership Adventures (GLA) in Costa Rica Summer 2010
For two weeks, I traveled to Costa Rica to help improve an impoverished village by cleaning littered beaches and
teaching schoolchildren to read and write in English.
Volunteered at Maplewood Intermediate School, NY September 2011- June 2012
Every week, I tutored students from 3rd-5th grade in an afterschool dual-language program involving mentoring children,
providing support and assistance in a variety of topics, and guiding them in the right direction.

I attended high school as an honor student who involved myself in five different honor societies as well as a variety of
other extracurricular activities. I also took four AP courses and three college level courses in preparation for university.
Ithaca College August 2012- May 2016
I have earned a grade point average of 3.6/ 4.0 with a main course study in Integrated Marketing and Communications
(IMC) and secondary course studies in Writing and Deaf Studies. I am involved in organizations including the American
Advertising Federation (AAF), have participated in professional conferences such as the Advertising Women of New
York (AWNY) showcase, and have taken many relevant courses in the communications and writing fields.
Skills and Interests:
I have basic knowledge and understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, and social media sites
including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Tumblr. I am skilled in writing, editing, notetaking, public
speaking, making presentations, and communicating verbally and nonverbally by myself or on a team. Also, I have basic
communication of American Sign Language and enjoy industries such as fashion, entertainment, food and journalism.
