To whom it may concern:
Kara Fraki was the K-8 art teacher for HOPE Community Academy during the 2014-2015 school
year. I am a kindergarten teacher and I worked as her peer observer throughout that school year.
I formally observed her three times throughout the year and conferenced with her before and
after each observation.
Kara worked hard to integrate the things the children were learning in their other academic
classes with their art projects. She also worked hard to implement the school wide strategies we
were all working on to help improve the children’s academic growth. Some of these strategies
included posting objectives, using academic language, and getting the students to talk more using
the “think, pair, share” strategy.
As I observed Kara those three times, I saw a lot of improvement in her teaching. She eagerly
wants to improve her skills and quickly puts things into practice that she is told to do or try.
Kara integrated artwork with several student research projects and she exposed the students to a
wide variety of art media.
I highly recommend Kara for the position she is applying for. If you have any questions please

Sincerely,
