The student organized a project to increase IT knowledge among 10th grade students in their community. They created an online test about computers and offered prizes to encourage participation. On the day of the event, students gathered in the local park to take the 20 minute test while sitting in the grass. The student then explained the correct answers and played educational games. Those who earned prizes received them to reward their learning. The goal of increasing IT knowledge among students was achieved, and they now have a greater interest in continuing to learn about technology.
2. In our school we have
“Computer science” Need in
classes, but community
unfortunately, it doesn’t
give us any global
knowledge of IT. I noticed
that our students have no
interests for this
discipline, because the We need to arouse
topics are boring, or we just feelings to learn more
play simple games. about IT. This will help
us to make the first
steps to bring modern
technology in to
Kyrgyzstan.
3. The goal of my GYSD project is to help students gain knowledge
of IT sphere and try to hand for them that they can be awarded for
learning. After my project I hope the participants will know more
facts of IT and be more intellectually developed.
4. Activity.
To achieve my goal I
have tested students
from the 10th grade. By
rewarding the students
with prizes, this will
encourage them to
study more and
achieve more in life.
5. Plan:
1. I have organized a group of 4 of my
friends to help me. We made a test on
computer knowledge, bought prizes, made
posters advertising about the day of the
“winning test”, telling when and where.
2. After our advertising, students came to a
local park at 2 o’clock, and they tested for
20 minutes while sitting in the grass. While
my helpers were checking tests, I explained
which were the right answers, and then
played intellectual games.
3. Then when all results were ready I gave
them prizes
Resources:
1. We used paper and marker for
advertising. My parents supplied these
resources.
2. We needed a computer to create the test
and a printer to print them. My teacher
helped me with it.
3. We needed to buy prizes, so I talked with
the sellers and ask for a discount. My dad
helped, by giving me money.
6. Result.
As a result of my GYSD project: the
students of the 10th grade have a
greater knowledge of IT, and a desire to
obtain new knowledge and information.
This will help us succeed in today's
developing technology, thus making
our own contribution to Kyrgyzstan.
