ONGC is India's largest oil and gas exploration and production company, producing around 77% of India's crude oil and 62% of its natural gas. It conducts business as a responsible corporate through its CSR policy, which aims to promote healthcare, education, livelihoods, rural development, and environmental sustainability. Thematic areas of CSR include promoting health and poverty eradication, education, rural development, environmental sustainability, and more. ONGC invests more than the legally required minimum funds in CSR each year, with two high impact projects being a multispeciality hospital in Assam costing 1487.4 crores and 20 mobile medical units across India costing 1283.72 crores.
