  • Respected Sir/Madam, Sub: Regarding the submission of A project Proposal on Life Skill Enhancement Training for the children in Juvenile Homes and TOT Training for teachers in Government Schools in 7 Districts of Tamilnadu. Ref : As per the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, under section 135, PSC falls under category of companies, which have to mandatorily spend at least 2% of their average net profits towards specified Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) We have been approved by the Income Tax Department under section 80G and 12AA of Income Tax Act. We have also approved FCRA Act by Ministry of Home Affairs Govt. of India. ADAIKALAM is a nongovernmental organization working for the protection of the destitute and marginalized society. It was started in the year 2008 registered under the Indian Trust Act. Now it is concentrating more on the education, skill development and health aspects of the most backward community by providing supplementary education to the school going children in slum and rural areas, educational support like providing books and paying fees to most poor financial background students, many youth were given training on life skills, awareness programme was conducted for women on their rights and empowerment, medical service and referral provided to the needy people. It have been implementing various developmental activities at Chennai, Kanchipuram , Thiruvallur, Vellore, Coimbatore, Salem, Trichy, Thirunelveli, Virudunagar, Sivagangai, Madurai and Theni districts Tamilnadu, India. Adaikalam jointly with Tamilnadu social defence have conducted various vocational training programme along with the Life enrichment programme for the girls and boys in the home. The recent incident happened in the Juvenile Home in Chennai made an eye opener as 30 children have escaped from the Juvenile home few of them tried to kill themselves behaved very rude. The main reason for their behaviour is lack of knowledge on life skill and due to their living circumstances. So this project will support in giving full fledged training for the students in the juvenile homes and teachers in the Government schools will be provided TOT training covering 7 districts like Chennai, Kancheepuram, Madurai, Salem, Coimbatore, Trichy and Vellore. We have come to know about the services of Australian Aid through your website and we are very interested to work as the partner organization. Our detail proposal has been given in the Application form and we kindly request you to consider our application for the project to implement Life skill enhancement training to the Juvenile home children and to the teachers of government school. It was established in 1983 and is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD). Currently, it has 497 employees and member of various organizations such as Mindanao Association for Quality, Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Industries and Personnel Management Association of the Philippines.

Agronomy Assistance Since the 1960's, Nestle Philippines has been helping coffee farmers in different parts of the country through imparting knowledge on how they can improve their crops. Members of the company visit these farmers regularly to reinforce among them the importance of good plantation management. By improving methods in growing coffee, farmers get better yields and eventually help increase the coffee supply in the Philippines as well as help the farmers increase their income.

By improving the methods in coffee growing, farmers can get better and higher quality yields, and help increase coffee supply in the country.
  12. 12. In 1994, the Company established the Nestlé Experimental and Demonstration Farm in Tagum, Davao del Norte, where coffee farmers are trained on the most efficient ways of growing coffee. It also serves as a venue for the conduct of experiments and production of planting materials.
  13. 13. OTHER CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY The company has been very active in corporate social responsibility practice and puts premium on programs on agriculture, education and manpower development, community development, health and nutrition, and environmental protection and preservation.

Nestle sponsored PBSP projects such as the Tree Planting Program in Lipa, the Agutayan Artificial Reef Project, the Bayanan Creek Clean-Up Drive, and the Tapat Ko, Linis Ko Program in Bulacan. Also supported the Cebu Hillyland Reforestation Project, Buensuceso Resettlement Program, Marine Santuary Regeneration project, and Relief assistance and rehabilitation of disaster victims.
