2. Photograph: Volcanic Arc
formed by magma that rises from the
melting of the falling plate.
Diagram: volcanic arc
located at continental
crust, it close to ocean
trench.
3. Photograph: this is shield
volcano, broad, gently sloping
volcano formed by quiet
eruptions of lava.
Diagram: When gas gets more
and more under the ocean crust,
then it will make a earthquake and
volcano island will be created at the
middle of the ocean.
4. Trench
Cause- when two plates squished
together which is oceanic and
continental, it causes to create a
trench.
Effect- effect of the trench is that it’s
good for the sea animals or for sea
insects to hide under the ocean
trench.
Volcanic Arc
Cause- oceanic plate subducts the
continental plate, and it causes the oceanic
plate to melt.
Effect- when the oceanic plate goes down,
it pushes the continental plate, which is
helping the magma to rise up.
Island Arc
Cause- when gas heats up under the
ocean it make an a volcano and
earthquake. Or when convergent
boundary happens
Effect- is when volcano dies, we call
that a island.
5. Analysis
The convergent boundary makes a Island arc, Volcanic arc, and a trench. Volcanic arc
happens when oceanic and continental squished together, oceanic plate weights more
dense and it goes down under the continental plate, and continental plate goes top of the
oceanic, and between then it creates a trench. When oceanic plate goes under the ocean,
oceanic plate pushes the magma where it in under the continental plate and helps to push
up the magma to make a volcanic arc. Island arc is also same posses as the volcanic arc, but
it happens middle of the ocean, when oceanic and oceanic boundary happens. When
earthquake happens in middle of the ocean it makes a volcano and when volcano dies, it
will be a island.
