Julio Cesar wants to establish himself as an independent Latin artist in the United States to inspire people through his music. His skills include songwriting, singing, and public speaking. He creates honest music that tells real stories to emotionally connect with his audience and give them strength. In the past, he organized a musical campaign that brought hope to Venezuelans facing hardship. His goal is to make an impact through his brand by inviting people to gain a different perspective on life's purpose.
2. ARENA
I would like to work within the music
industry, more specifically, workings as
an independent Latin artist in the
United States.
3. IDENTITY
I am Julio Cesar and I don’t mind taking
risks. For me, life is about jumping into the
adventure and focusing on living life at its
fullest. I believe that what differentiates
me from other artists is that my purpose is
not to have fame or sell a lot of records,
but to inspire people into getting out of
the comfort zone and explore the world.
4. SKILLS
My skills are public speaking, writing, active listening, music
knowledge, songwriting, singing knowledge.
5. PROFESSION
I’m an artist. I sing, compose, write songs, and create. I motivate people to
be the best version of themselves. I give people back the strength they might
have lost. I use the music to create an emotional connection with people.
The music I create is honest and talks about real stories, other music tends
to be commercial and superficial.
6. CREDENTIALS
In 2017, I developed a musical campaign to promote
values within society in Venezuela, a society that
faces repression from its government. I gathered a
group of singers and musicians from my hometown and
we brought hope back to the people facing hunger,
diseases, repression, and violence.
7. PROMISE
The world is currently facing injustice, poverty, social
problems, and more. Every day, the number of people
with depression continue to grow. Those people need
motivation and not the focus that society suggests
they should have. In my opinion, life is a journey, and
there’s more in life than trying to fit into society or
following the latest trends.
My promise is to create musical content that serves to
inspire people. My commitment to the people who listen
to me is to make them be brave, adventurous, and
faithful.
8. POSITIONING
For a long time I wasted my time following the standards of
society and believing that I was supposed to do what
“everybody” does: graduate from high school, get a degree either
in medicine or laws, or simply follow my parents’ steps. In the
moment I realized life is too short to be pleasing others, I found
my purpose.
My passion and the experiences I’ve lived are the ones who make
my work effective, and perhaps more than other competitors. The
way in how I enjoy life and how passionate I am about traveling
the world will serve to inspire people. A very important factor is
the experience that makes one more comprehensive when it comes
to solving the problem and, who better to solve that problem
than someone who has been so close to it?
9. AUDIENCE
When talking about who needs to know me, I think that important record labels like
Sony Music Group and Warner Brother’s Music Group would help my music reach more
people. The strong relationship with the people who listen to me will be because of the
authenticity of my music. Part of the change I want to make is for people to stop being
shallow, for them to feel my music like theirs, and to move mountains and go to places.
My audience would be those who like the feeling of freedom, of exploring new places and
taking risks. This people can be found in festivals like the burning man and Coachella.
10. Networking & Marketing
I believe that being constant on social media is key to keep my followers
engaged. Also, I will make my content very integral as my followers will feel
involved with my projects and even collaborating with me through these
platforms. It is important for me to establish a connection with my followers in
order to keep with my brand. In my case, Instagram will the best option to
interact with my followers and for employers to see credentials of my work.
11. COMPETITORS
I’m aware that there are hundreds of thousands
of artists who are working really hard to make a
hit or get to be signed by a record label. A
group would be the Independent Recording
Artist Community. To name a few examples:
Stephen Gamble, a singer, and songwriter from
Full Sail University since 2014. Also, Fito
Espinola, a music business student from Full Sail
University that is expected to graduate in the
summer of 2020.
12. Professional Development
In order to reach my goals, I should improve my networking skills. Getting to know people
will certainly be helpful in order to find opportunities in the industry. Also, I need to
dedicate more time to my creative process in order to have more content to share with
the people I hopefully get to meet. I believe during my time and Full Sail, I will be able to
network better and gain experience doing so. On the other hand, composing and
songwriting are very personal things for me and the process might be a little longer.
13. GOALS
By developing my personal brand I’m hoping to make an impact on society
inviting them to gain a different view on life and its purpose. With my
brand, I can hopefully get to connect with the
people that think the same way as I do. I want to
prove one can be a successful artist and still have
the values that many have lost.
