TIPS
TO
       Ease Tension
                                    immediately
Take a break right now!
                   Distract any
                   negative thinking
                   or worrying by
                   doing something
                   different, irregular,
                   or creative.
Attitude – it’s perception
                    How you react is
                    determined by
                    how you
                    perceive a
                    particular event.

                    Reframe your
                    response by
                    taking a different
                    approach or
                    outlook
Take a Mind Vacation
               Gaze into a
               happy snap or
               relaxing
               picture, close
               your eyes and
               feel, see and
               hear yourself
               there
Stretch and dance around
                Stand up,
                jump up and
                down, skip, sing,
                SMILE and
                stretch all your
                muscles
Give yourself a compliment
                 It’s time to
                 appreciate
                 YOURSELF,
                 So go ahead and
                 acknowledge
                 how amazing
                 and inspiring you
                 really are!
Yell or cry
              If the
              environment is
              private and
              safe, go ahead
              and release any
              tension – it can
              be very healing
Use affirmations
               When the going gets
               tough......affirmations
               will get you through a
               sticky situation...
                     Say to yourself:

               “I can handle this”
               “I’m OK”
               “It will work out”
               “I’m feeling calm and
               relaxed”.
               “I can do it”
Pause and breathe
                    Stop what you are
                    doing, take in a deep
                    breath, from your
                    diaphragm, and
                    count to 10 as you
                    let it go....
