10. Physical distancing
• Stand at least 1.5m away from other staff and
students at all times
• Desks in classrooms will be at least 1.5m away
from each other.
• Classrooms will be rearranged to meet
physical distancing norms
13. Things we will do differently:
• Access control procedure:
“Screening” will be done at entry points. You will be
asked to complete a form or use an APP to answer
questions, and your temperature will be taken.
• Registers – signing in and out
• Lecturers to move and students to be room based, except
for specialised rooms
• Staff and students will be required to wear face masks or
face shields while on campus
• We will all need to take responsibility for our own safety.
Ensure you adhere to all safety protocols and keep your
working space sanitized.
14. Coping with stress during the
COVID-19 outbreak
COVID-19 can be stressful, the effects can be both physical
and emotional.
Things you can do to reduce stress:
Take breaks from listening to, watching or reading about
COVID-19 frequently, including social media.
Focus on the facts of COVID-19 and understand the risk to
yourself and those you care about.
Separate facts from rumours. Gather information from reliable
sources.
If stress continues to hamper your daily activities, talk to a
doctor, or someone you can trust.
Higher Health has appointed a psychologist, as part of the
roving team supporting the College. Campuses will have
contact details.
15. Stay safe and if there you have any
safety concerns, please talk to your
campus manager.
Developments and guidelines will
change continuously, we need to be
prepared to make changes quickly to
prevent the spread of this virus
