2. MY DESIRE TO EXPLORE &
UNDERSTAND OTHER
CULTURES
• For our wedding, my husband
and I wanted an intimate
ceremony, only inviting ~70
people. Of those in attendance,
there were 7 countries
represented. People from all
around the globe made huge
efforts to fly across the world to
be with me on one of the biggest
days of my life. I think this
speaks volumes about my intent
for reaching out to people from
different backgrounds and
cultures, and I believe that the
internationally diverse student
population at IE will help me
continue to grow and evolve both
personally and professionally.
3. MY ARTISTIC SIDE
• I love the arts! Take a look at some of my
drawings and photography!
4. LIFE ABROAD • Did you know I was featured in a
commercial for the language school I
attended in Málaga, Spain?
• During my time as a student in
Málaga, I had roommates from 6
different countries. (Germany, Holland,
Italy, Japan, Turkey, & Ukraine) – I
was already learning Spanish, but this
allowed me the opportunity to learn so
much more!

5. I LOVE A CHALLENGE!
• Here are some of the challenges I’ve
faced so far in my career! From
airplanes and military helicopters to
fútbol fields and firefighter gear….
What will be next?!
6. WHY DO I WANT AN INTERNATIONAL MBA?
• 2 years ago, I took a big risk and a significant pay cut to move into
a more visible engineering role as a Product Sales Engineer. Up
until this point, my career had been highly technical and analytical
- I was always the “nerd” in the background, doing all of my work
behind the scenes.
• While this was a step back financially, I felt that it was a step in
the right direction towards my professional goals. I want to be out
in the field, meeting real people, developing business relationships,
and identifying market needs.
• Since this transition, I have worked closely with the business side
of engineering. (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, etc.)
Now, I not only develop complex, engineering solutions, I make
sure that these solutions make sense across the board. I present
these solutions face-to-face in front of customers, suppliers, etc.
• Being in this highly visible role, it makes me excited for the future!
I see so many potential opportunities now – opportunities that I
would never see just being the brains behind a keyboard.
So why do I need an International MBA?
I’ve got the technical side down – With my
diverse engineering background, I’m
confident I can learn just about anything
technical thrown at me. An International
MBA would allow me to confidently add
business into engineering. Identifying
strategic business developments and being
able to read more into the future of the
markets – this is my missing piece.
7. WHY IE?
1. The International Student Population
The most successful engineering companies are global. Earning my MBA in such a culturally diverse atmosphere will
allow me to learn how to globally implement engineering solutions and reach a variety of audiences.
2. The Emphasis on Entrepreneurship
Having a program that focuses on developing entrepreneurial ambitions will help me to advance new ideas and
identify opportunities, directly impacting the improvement of large and/or established businesses or even stepping out
on my own!
3. To Improve My Spanish
Let’s be honest - I have a love affair with Spain – the food, the people, the culture, the arts – I’m always looking for a
way to combine my career with Spain. What better way is there to continue evolving linguistically with a foreign
language than to live and breathe it every day?!
