My Bed was bought by Charles Saatchi for £150,000 and displayed as part of the first exhibition of the
Saatchi Gallery. Saatchi also installed the bed in a dedicated room in his own home.

7. Sound Places
• Students form groups of 3 or 4.
• Every group is assigned a ‘place’.
• Options include a haunted house, the
jungle, a hospital emergency room, a
football ground, the circus, a rock gig,
the zoo.
• Students in the group must create that
place in sound only for 30secs
• Allow ten-fifteen minutes to rehearse
the creation of the environment.
• When groups are ready, the rest of the
class listens with eyes closed to
determine what the place is.
