"MIEL DE TIERRA" is known as, in the colonial
villages south of the sate of Zacatecas, the natural
sap that emanates from the white oak timbers,
when it is axe-cut by the local lumberjack in order
to craft our own barrels meant for resting our
handcrafted mezcal.
After coping with its slow and strict elaboration, our
mezcal is set to rest with the presence of the honey
that flows from the oak wood, which can only be
found whenever virgin timber is used to craft such
particular caskets.

6. AS SMOOTH AS HONEY
Only a handful of old and small producers, can still afford to
use these elegant techniques for crafting artisan Mezcal,
which by its very nature demands a limited production of
504 bottles per batch.
Every single one of our bottles leaves the distillery with a
special wooden emblem marking the exact batch and bottle
number.
This emblem can trace back every single bottle of
Miel de Tierra ever produced by our family.

The end result establishes a different kind of mezcal, one
that dares to replaces the strong and smoked flavours of
classic mezcals which only interfere with the purity of its
true taste, replacing them with the naked essence of
the very best ingredients used in its crafting.
What is left behind is an extremely smooth distillate,
with remarkable wooden notes, and exquisite aroma.
This tradition is what gives meaning to the name of our

The first born of our house. Named as “the smoothest
tasting mezcal” in its category Miel De Tierra Reposado
has been recognized multiple times for its delicate flavor
to the palate. It is undoubtedly the strong notes of virgin
oak timbers that mark the exquisite tasting experience,
deliberately replacing the flavors of smoke and ash that
are common amongst lesser mezcals.
Finally, Miel de Tierra Reposado is characterized by the
light touch of “honey” that lingers on the palate. This
delicate flavour comes from the sweet sap of virgin
timber that is strictly used to rest our mezcal for months
in the catacombs of our hacienda.
A distinctly different mezcal, recommended for sensitive
and refined tastes that treasure delicate flavors above all
else.

Miel de tierra joven is the limited edition craft of our
house. With a strict production of 504 bottles per annum,
this singular mezcal represents the highest purity that can
be achieved in a distillate of this category.
It is characterized by its pure and penetrating focused
flavor that immediately surrounds on the palate, leaving a
soft vanilla note that lingers pleasurably which is renewed
with every small sip.
Sommeliers will find Miel de Tierra joven to be slightly
more aggressive on the palate, making it an excellent
recommendation for experienced and rugged
personalities.
