1. WHAT WAS YOUR INITIAL CONCEPT
FOR YOUR FINAL PROJECT AND WHAT
WERE THE REASONS BEHIND YOUR
CHOICES?
My initial concept was to embrace the idea of interracial marriages in london. My reason
behind doing this was because being a girl of ethnicity, I have seen how great acceptance
is in london in comparison to other countries especially having a very mixed cultured
family. Due to this, I have been able to see how different people view their relationships
in london in comparison to outside london when we go on holidays or day trips.
2. WHAT WERE YOU TRYING TO ACHIEVE IN MAKING
YOUR FINAL PRODUCT?
In making my final product, I was trying to achieve a positive viewpoint on London and
how multicultural it is. Also, I was trying to show how much racial harmony is in
London.
3. WHAT MESSAGE WERE YOU TRYING TO GIVE?
The message that I was trying to convey was that London is an accepting place and that no matter
where you are from you will feel welcomed. It is a place where you meet, mix and mingle with
different people who aren’t judging you but are willing to learn more about your culture and love
you for it. They are willing to be with you and adapt to it. Also, the people around you will be
accepting to it and non judgemental towards it..
4. WHO WERE YOU TARGETING WITH YOUR FINAL PRODUCT
AND OF WHAT RELEVANCE IS YOUR PROJECT TO AN
AUDIENCE?
The type of people I was targeting was people of ethnicity who were thinking of coming to
London. Whether they're planning to live or just come on holiday, it lets them understand that
they will be welcomed no matter where they're from, what they believe or what colour.
5. WHAT SPECIALISM HAVE YOU FOLLOWED, GAMES,
FILM, PRINT, WEB ETC?
I have decided to make my final project into a documentary as I believed it would promote
my message in the best way. Here I included interviews, facts and location shots. These will
give my documentary substance.
6. HOW WOULD THIS HELP YOU PROGRESS ONTO
FURTHER STUDY OR INTO WORK?
• This will help me to progress into further study as I would like to go to university to study
journalism or media and law to become a journalist. It will allow me to showcase my journalistic
skills as well as my editorial skills. If in the future I change my mind and decide to study media, my
editorial skills have been put on show also so it will help me progress into that area also.
7. IS IT A PROJECT THAT YOU HAVE PASSION ABOUT?
• Yes it is a project that I have a passion in as I believe in racial harmony and community cohesion to a
great extent. I believe that this is essential in life as it is unfair for people to get judged over something
that they cannot control or is completely natural.
