On April 1, 2014, this photo reached more
than 7.9k facebook users within 24 hours,
and was clicked 2,737 times in its first 30
hours of going live.
One of the most beneficial and valuable aspects of social
media for the medical profession is the ability for patients to
share their recommendation and words of praise about their
medical provider to their friends. This often creates a viral
effect, far more powerful than traditional “word of mouth”.
Those recommendations and ravings translate into friends of
friends, and more friends of friends (you get the point) who
now have a positive referral to that clinic or health
professional.
