2. U - Suitable
• U (universal) this means the film is suitable for all.
Although it is aimed at everyone from the ages 4 and up.
• The U films should be set within a frame and should not
include any violence, threat or horror.

3. PG
• PG (parental guidance) is general viewing but few scene
may be unsuitable for young children.
• A PG film should not unsettle a child ages 8 or older.

4. 12/12A
• Films with this classification mainly consists of material
not appropriate for children under the age of 12.
• In the case of a 12A no one under the age of 12 is
allowed to see the film unless accompanied by an adult.

5. 15
• This classification means that no one
under the age of 15 should go to see
the film

6. 18
• The age rating means the no one under the age of 18
should go to watch a film under the age of 18, or
buy/rent a film with the rating of 18.
