17. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
• Posses a full understanding of the desired end
result/goal.
• Promptly troubleshoot and address any walls which
will prevent reaching said goal.
• Organize necessary steps in order to obtain
productive use of time and talent while remaining
flexible for any changes.
18. STAFF MANAGEMENT
The art of management requires a special kind of person as it often
times proves challenging to extract and enhance individual skills, and
capacities to work in unison for the greater good while dealing with
different personalities.
19. TYPE OF MANAGER
• A manager must always remember that the
accomplished goal is key to the institution’s
success.
• A manager must think as a whole and help in
creating collaboration amongst his/her team
members in order to achieve said goal.
• A manager who thinks “I” and not “We” has
failed before the attempt.
20. WHY I WORK IN GOVERNMENT:
“I enjoy my job because I feel honored to be part of a
workforce that helps improve people’s lives every day,
year after year. We are making sure that a great city
such as Houston keeps progressing while creating
opportunities for generations to come. I especially feel
humbled as I grew up in the very same neighborhoods
we strive to improve every day!”
