Major tasks involved in projects
 Preparation of input data sheet: This task mainly consists of preparing the input
data sheet required to model the complete system based on the customer
requirements and setting the priorities of the required data.
 Data analysis and preprocessing: This consists of analyzing the data whether
they are correct and adequate in both number and range. Also the data is
preprocessed to the formats required for the tool used for system modeling.
 Modeling and simulation: In this phase, model is developed to replicate the
behavior of the original system based on the customer requirements and
complexity level. A functional validation is done to ensure the functionality.
 Result analysis and post processing: This consists of validation of the results
with the measurement data available and fine tuning of the model to get the
required accuracy. Also the results need to be converted to required formats and
additional calculations are done if required. The models also converted for further
requirements like Real time deployment and integration.
Academic project works / training
 PG Project-Phase-1- EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF FLUID
FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS OF NANOFLUIDS IN
MICROCHANNELS.
The objective of this project is to investigate the pressure drop and heat transfer
characteristics of CuO/CNT based nanofluids in microchannels and to find out the relative
enhancement of heat transfer when compared to pure water. The heat transfer parameters
and pressure drop were calculated, studied and compared with the theoretical predictions.
 PG Project-Phase-2-TRANSIENT COOLING OF ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS USING
PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL BASED HEAT SINKS.
The objective of this project is to experimentally investigate the feasibility of phase change
materials for cooling purpose in electronic circuit. The effect of different volumes of phase
change material were studied and compared.
 UG Project-HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS OF NANOFLUIDS USING COMPUTATIONAL
FLUID DYNAMICS.
Designed and analyzed a cooling system for microprocessors using Gambit & fluent
softwares. The enhancement of heat transfer using nanofluids of different mass fractions
with that of water has been studied. Different conductivity models for nanofluids have been
compared.
 One week industrial training at KSRTC regional workshop, Calicut.
