Introduction
The dynamics of team problem solving
can be intricate. Our study aims to
unveil what motivations lie behind an
individual’s participation in a group
discussion.
Specifically, our research uncovers
how conversation participation is
linked to participation awareness and
accountability.
Results
Participation Level:
1. Visualization ordering, by itself, had an effect on
participation level. However, the general effect of
each individual visualization remained the same,
regardless of ordering.
2. The type of visualization did have an effect.
Language use:
Disagreement words:
1. Visualization ordering did not have any effect.
2. The type of visualization did have an effect.
Agreement words:

Conclusion
Participation accountability does
not have much of an affect on
participation. However,
participation awareness does have
an effect on participation.
